Caring for New Mothers & Babies
Labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal nurses help families during one of the most special and life-changing, yet stressful, times of their lives. It can also be stressful for the nurses, most of whom work 12-hour shifts. The pressure of their workload has
been compounded in recent times by challenges of the pandemic and escalating violence toward healthcare workers.
Your monetary gifts will help turn a small, simple space at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas into a Serenity Room for the dedicated nurses and staff. During breaks from their hectic schedules, they will be able to relax and manage their own stress. Amenities such as a massage chair and calming music, lighting and activities will foster resiliency and help these nurses rejuvenate and be able to better serve their patients.
